“Persuasion” is a sampler inspired by Jane Austen’s book by the same name written in 1815-1816. The heroine, Anne Elliot, rejects captain’s Wentworth proposal after being persuaded he has no fortune. Anne cannot forget him and finally finds happiness with her captain eight years later. The sampler is stitched on 32 count Vintage Buttercream by Lakeside Linens with two strands of floss from The Gentle Art Simply Shaker Threads and Sampler Threads, DMC and Kreinik Cord.
