The Gentle Art is pleased to announce the return of our Automatic “Loose Feathers” Order Program.

The latest “Loose Feathers” pattern uses the following colors: Apple Cider, Avocado, Dried Thyme, Mountain Mist, Mustard Seed, Woodrose, and Heirloom Gold.

Summer’s Last Rose is the third Loose Feathers pattern for the year 2012. The pattern and linen is available through Norden Crafts and they are shipping today. The medium sized book box shown above right was covered with fabric. All instructions are in the pattern. The box is the medium size from Hobby Lobby. sku# 379727 – Medium – 5″ x 2″ x 7 1/2″.

The basket pictured along the bottom of the pattern is also from Hobby Lobby. (Dark brown small rectangular basket, sku#177733 – 9 1/2″ x 3″ x 3 5/8″.)

Latest Christmas design by Blackbird Designs.

According to Blackbird Designs blog, “Barb loves to hang her Christmas samplers year round in her home.

She enjoys holiday cheer all through the year. Even though this piece expresses a sentiment we love to share with our family and friends, the message is subtle.

The colors are so joyful that no one will notice that this holiday decoration has not been packed away!”

Young Ann Priest stitched her sampler on 50ct. linen in 1841. The latest reproduction from The Scarlett House is done on 40ct. linen using threads from The Gentle Art. Several shades of green, brown, and gold and were used on the antique.

Sampler Threads gave the reproduction that aged and subtle look. The stitch count is 297 w X 327 h. Colors used are: Dried Thyme, Pine, Blue Spruce, Forest Glade, Tarnished Gold, Cherry Bark, Harvest Basket, Bayberry, Apple Cider, Mountain Mist, Picnic Basket, Caramel Corn, Rose Garden, Cucumber, Heirloom Gold, Piney Woods, Espresso Bean, and (2) Burlap.

	“April Word Play” SOLD OUT is a cross stitch design by With The Needle & Thread. It is stitched on 35 count linen and finishes at 4 1/2″ X 7 1/2″. This will make a wonderful Spring door hanger when completed. The chart is available through With The Needle & Thread and we are providing a convenient thread pack that consists of the colors: Cornhusk, Cinnamon, Nutmeg, Flax, Shaker White, Picket Fence, Walnut, Apple Cider, Lambswool, Pumpkin Pie, Caramel Corn, Wood Trail, Toffee, Heirloom Gold, Endive, Otter Creek, and Wheat Fields.
	Jane Pattison’s reproduction sampler SOLD OUTis a beautiful sampler done in the Gentle Art Simply Wool threads. This is stitched on 32 count Vintage Navy Bean by Lakeside Linens. You can substitute Gentle Art cotton threads but we recommend using the wool as it gives the piece spectacular depth and besides that, the original was stitched in wool. The chart is available through Shakespeare’s Peddler and the Gentle Art is offering a convenient thread pack to compliment the chart. The colors of the wools/cottons are as follows: Tea Rose, Chives, Harvest Basket, Faded Rose, Maple Syrup, Baked Clay, Schoolhouse Red, Terra Cotta, Parchment, Old Purple Paint, Soot, Barn Grey, Cidermill Brown, and Forest Glade.
	The Flemish Giant SOLD OUTdesign is absolutely beautiful. We had the honor of having this model in our Nashville booth and the pictures here do not do the design justice. This is a must stitch. Design is available through European Cross Stitch and we have the convenient thread pack.
	SOLD OUT Jenny Bean Gentle Spring: This beautiful sampler was stitched on 32 ct. Platinum Belfast (Navy Bean would be a nice Lakeside Linens substitute). The finished size is about 7 by 17 1/2 inches and available through Shakespeare’s Peddler. The sampler is stitched over-two with two strands of floss in the following Sampler Threads: Moonlit Path, Old Hickory (2), Grasshopper, Cidermill Brown (2), Harvest Basket, Wood Trail (2), Wheat Fields, Chamomile, Toasted Barley, Caramel Corn (2), Roasted Marshmallow, Summer Shower, Antique Rose (2). We have complete thread packs available for your convenience.
	Spring at Bean Family Farm: This design is fun to stitch on Flax Belfast using ONE STRAND of the over-dyed threads. We even let Theresa from Shakespeare’s Peddler name the threads. There is a Limited Edition thread pack by The Gentle Art for this new design by Shakespeare’s Peddler. — besides standard colors Parchment and Espresso Bean, you get Painted Lady’s Chrysalis, Concord Grape, Baby Carrot, Candied Violet, Cypress Mulch, Warbler’s Wing, Bay Leaf and Dried Rosehips. The thread pack is also great by itself to substitute in your other needlework. Substituting Limited Edition or other colors will give your needlework the uniqueness it deserves.
	Flower Power Sampler contains the chart and all the thread necessary to stitch the design. The threads included are Simply Wool 10yd skeins (Chamomile, Gold Leaf, Red Grape, Cinnamon, Freedom, Summer Shower, Baby Spinach and Apple Cider) and Simply Shaker 5 yd skeins (Linen, Carriage Black, Burlap and Buckeye Scarlet). It is stitched on 32 count Cafe Kona linen from R & R Reproductions and the stitch count is 140 W X 170 H. This chart was designed by Kristi Pfeifer of The Gentle Art
	Flutter Away Thread Pack is a cute little chart designed by Kristi Pfeifer of the Gentle Art and contains everything necessary to stitch this design with the exception of a hoop. It contains a needle, R&R’s 30ct Apple Brown Bindy – 13×10 and all Simply Wool 10yd skeins; Soot, Freedom, Oatmeal, Buckeye Scarlet and the chart and description page how to do the decorative Eskimo Stitch you see around the border.

“Persuasion” is a sampler inspired by Jane Austen’s book by the same name written in 1815-1816. The heroine, Anne Elliot, rejects captain’s Wentworth proposal after being persuaded he has no fortune. Anne cannot forget him and finally finds happiness with her captain eight years later. The sampler is stitched on 32 count Vintage Buttercream by Lakeside Linens with two strands of floss from The Gentle Art Simply Shaker Threads and Sampler Threads, DMC and Kreinik Cord.
